Reiki Training

Reiki is used to treat physical, emotional and mental diseases by form of a spiritual practice. The mode of Reiki treatment is extremely simple with practitioners placing their palms over the part of the body which needs to be treated. Practitioners believe that healing energy flows through the palm that is highly effective in treating various diseases.

Individuals who wish to practice Reiki as a healing technique would need to get trained. This they can achieve by attending the International Center for Reiki Training (ICRT). The ICRT is a highly recommended and credible school for Reiki aspirants to get trained. There are many Reiki masters who provide Reiki training for free. It is important for aspirants to get trained in Reiki training by any one of the ways as, in all probabilities, they would wish to perform Reiki techniques on patients.

Reiki technique originated from Japan and currently is practiced all over the world. The training curriculum adopted by residents of many countries other than Japan has a three level training program.

  • First Degree - Basic theories and concepts of working with Reiki energy are taught to the students in this level of training. The Reiki teacher gives four "attunements" to the students which practitioners say "Open the channel of healing". Hand placement positions on a body is a very important factor in Reiki and in this level students learn to use different hand placement positions on the recipient's body. Please note the hand placement positions are based on how conductive they are to the treatment process as a whole.

  • Second Degree - In the second level, the student learns about the three symbols of Reiki which allows the students to experiment with Distance healing. As per Distance healing, one does not have to be physically present with the patient to try the Healing techniques. One more attunement is given to the students in this level that increases the flow of energy through the students when they perform Reiki treatment.

  • Third Degree - This level of Reiki training is also known as Reiki Master Training. Students are given one or more "attunements" in this training level. Once the student passes the master training level, he acquires the title of a Reiki Master. Most importantly, he has gained enough knowledge to train other individuals on Reiki techniques. The Reiki Master is empowered to give attunements to other individuals. The third level of training is often the most comprehensive of all the levels which last for a year. In cases of comprehensive training sessions, the entire training module is broken down into smaller modules.

Reiki is a very efficient technique an individual can use for self-treatment as well as for treating others.
