Who offers Reflexology Certification courses? Many leading massage institutes offer Reflexology Certification courses which allow individuals to get trained and subsequently certified in Reflexology. Once the individuals get certified in Reflexology they would be eligible to apply for licenses to practice reflexology. Every individual must check whether the course certification complies with the federal and state laws that mandate statutes for practice of massage. Individuals must choose only those institutes whose course certification programs are certified. What are the contents of a Reflexology Certification Course? Typically, the reflexology certification course is a comprehensive training course of 110 hours. A reflexology school allows 35 hours of reflexology training in the classroom, 15 hours of reflexology course home study and 60 hours of independent hands-on training. The 35 hours of reflexology course classroom training includes the institute imparting knowledge on Basic Anatomy and Physiotherapy, various health conditions, various reflex points in the feet, foot assessment and hands-on application. Every individual must complete 60 hours of hands-on training in the reflexology course. I would recommend that individuals select 60 different individuals and practice reflexology for 1 hour each on every individual. This would give the individuals enough chances of practicing reflexology as it is a massage technique more practice-centric rather than being knowledge centric. The Reflexology Certification course culminates with the individual appearing for a written and a practical examination subsequently leading to the certification awarded to the individual.
